The middle child of the Spinner family, Emma Spinner received the Evil as her brain's resident at only eight years old. Now fourteen and having spent nearly half of her life having to suppress this demon, she now has to deal with her recent loss of control and the strange increase of supernatural threats to her hometown. This leads her to take up the mantle of the superheroic Aisha Spirit. As Aisha, she has interacted with other mysterious characters such as Bang!, the Midnight Ninja, and the Fuchsia Phantasm.

The eldest child of the Spinner family, Katani Spinner has been expanding her influence and popularity throughout her high school with whatever means she deems necessary. She seems to have a general distaste for most and sees people as tools to be used for her own unknown goals. Katani holds a grudge against Emma for being annoyingly impossible to decipher. Recently she coerced Jon Richardson into doing her homework for her.

The youngest child of the Spinner family, Soren Spinner is outgoing and energetic and is always looking for a new friend to make or a new challenge to take. Upon seeing his two sisters become overwhelmed with drama when he was six, he now strives to always be happy in their place. Upon discovering his latent Time-magic abilities at 14, he began helping to protect the city as the super speedster Bang! alongside Aisha Spirit.

A boy whose been bullied almost his entire life, Jon Richardson tries to lay low and stay out of any drama. He recently developed a crush on Katani Spinner, and has since become her target. He ends up discovering his latent Earth-magic abilities during an attack on the school in a subconscious attempt to protect her.

Emma's best friend since third grade, River Fredson is outgoing and energetic. She marches to the beat of her own drum and stands out from a crowd with her unique sense of style. She runs the popular blog Silicon Valley Spooks which documents events related to Miramontaña's native superheroes.

A teen with seemingly unlimited energy and optimism, Newton Chao is an avid acrobatic and martial artist, and can usually be seen doing at least one, if not both, at any given moment. They are always looking for new friends and are always down to hang out. They inherited the mantle of the Midnight Ninja a few months ago and are trying their best to hold up to the title's impressive legacy. As the Midnight Ninja they specialize in espionage and gathering information, and often work alongside Aisha Spirit and Bang! in battles.

A gloomy quiet girl who got roped into being Newton and Brendan's friends in seventh grade. She now begrudgingly helps Newton with their alias as the Midnight Ninja by finding rumors and secrets through her mysterious connections. —In actuality, she is an immortal creature from the Anti-Zone who arrived in Miramontaña to keep an eye on the local DRISPA facility.

A freshman at Miramontaña High, Brendan Small, known as "Buzzkill" online, is a technological prodigy who assists various groups for his hacktivist goals. He prominently helps the Midnight Ninja with their crime fighting and works alongside E.E. on Florence's blog security.

A shy and reclusive 11 year old, Peter Davis has been alone nearly his entire life and is perfectly okay with that, even with the bullying and isolation. In seventh grade, however, Soren begins worming his way into his life, trying to make friends with him. Although reluctant, he recently became more tolerant of their presence.

An optimistic girl who loves to garden, Ana Watson is a friendly girly-girl who can often be found tending to plants wherever she can find them. She always is there to lend a helping hand to those in need.

An avid player of first person shooters, Oscar Oakley is antisocial and prefers isolation. He is almost always playing on one of his consoles and occasionally gets into fights, resulting in a fair amount of trips to counseling. The recent discovery of his cyberlinguistic abilities from his Tech-magic seems to have shocked him.

The older of the Spinner familys two cousins, Veronica Sclepp has a long-standing rivalry with Katani and is always looking to outdo her. She is always trying to increase her influence and social standing at her school, and makes sure she always looks her best. She tends to look down on most everyone else, and sees people as tools to be used.

The younger of the Spinner family’s two cousins, Michael Barker has been friends with Soren since they were kids. He is highly interested in engineering, having played with building toys and trains since he was little, and often creates his own mechanical devices. He is also the pitcher for his local baseball team, but is very shy and has trouble talking to people, especially strangers.

The world’s first demon, Dmitri Kuznetsov has lived for over fourteen hundred years under thousands of aliases and has no plans on stopping. Originally born as Yaropolk in Volga Bulgaria, he found the Evil at seventeen and agreed to transform himself into the blood demon he is today. He sees himself as having a special bond with the Evil and became enraged upon hearing he became entrapped within a fourteen-year-old child. He now fights using all of his assets to defeat her and free his master.

A clone of Emma Spinner with fragments of Dmitri's DNA, Emmett was created with the sole purpose to defeat Emma by using her powers against her. Born with the body of a twelve-year-old, he was taught that Emma was evil by his adoptive father, Dmitri. However, he realizes the truth when he manages to successfully capture Emma for his father. After letting Emma escape from his grasp, he runs away from home to find his own purpose in the world to be more than someone else's clone.

A god managing the timestream, Serena Spook often appears to help control events that occur in various dimensions. She seems to have a particular connection to this timeline, particularly the Spinner children and their friends. Despite this, she remains relatively stoic and disconnected from them, knowing their eventual fates and not wanting to affect them. Her timeline is non-linear, meaning one interaction to the next may not occur in the same order for her as the people on Earth perceive it, further disconnecting her from the people she assists. She has three names–the Fuchsia Phantasm, the name the public has given her; Serena Spook, the name she gives to her allies; and her unknown true name.

An ancient being currently trapped inside the Spinner children, the Evil comes from millions of years in the future and arrived millions of years in the past. Having transformed hundreds of humans into creatures for his own machinations, he was eventually captured by DRISPA agents and bound to the bodies of the Spinner children. While usually bound to Emma due to her mental efforts, he also has discreetly influenced Katani and Soren.

The daughter of the Evil and a prostitute, Adela was abandoned in the woods at a young age. While initially ostracized by the local community, she eventually gained their favor for her usage of her Potion-magic to cure illnesses and afflictions. When the prince began unfairly raising taxes, she followed in her mother's footsteps by disguising herself as a prostitute to infiltrate the palace, killing the prince and becoming a criminal. She turned herself in and faked her death, eventually settling into a new village as as herbalist named Heather until her eventual death at 45.

The homemaker mother of the Spinner children and Tom's wife. She's never been one to take initiative.

While now a low-ranking DRISPA employee, Tom Spinner had ambled through life without any real goals or motivation. That is, until his sophomore year of college, where he started seeing glimpses of his past lives as a haughty prince, a child thief, a ruthless plutocrat, and a corrupt policeman. Terrified of what he had done, he now spends his life trying to atone for his sins by maintaining a good job and raising his three children into good people.

A descendant of the Spinner family from the 22nd century, Anna Johnson lives in Outer Nueva Miramontaña as a power generator for the city, being brought in on a monthly basis to transfer powers from plant life to the city's grid. She spends her days scheming on ways to escape the city and find a better life for herself so she can save her fellow Outer Nueva Miramontañans.

A descendant of the Fredson family from the 22nd century, Liam Koshe is an ex-soldier living in Outer Nueva Miramontaña. While he isn't trapped in the city like his neighbors, he stays behind to them from gangs and Remnants. He supports Anna’s dreams of escaping the city, even though he feels he must not.
